Hello. Hello. Hello and welcome back to real at brave and unstoppable. We are on week two of my hiatus. And I'm bringing you just like last week and MVP episode or MPE, most popular episode. I'm sharing with you some of the most, or actually I'm re-airing some of the most popular episodes of all time. While I am taking a break from the podcast to work on some other things. And also too. Plan out the episodes of season three, which will start. In mid August. One of the projects that I'm working on right now is I'm holding a retreat in September. September. Eighth, ninth and 10th. In the gorgeous countryside of Maryland, about 45 minutes or so from the Washington DC area. And I'm also planning some workshops that, kind of lead up to that, lead into that work that we're going to do in the retreat. And let me just tell you a little bit about it. I talked about it last week, but in case you didn't get that episode, I'll tell you about it now. I've found in a lot of people that I work with. Well, probably universally in everyone that I work with and so many of my listeners is that a lot of us tend to get an up to a point in our life where we feel like we're kind of lost. Things don't feel in flow, we feel stuck, but then there's this other problem of not really knowing why we're stuck or what we should do to get unstuck or feel better about life. And I mean, let's face it. We all want to love our life. We want to be here to enjoy our life and to be able to, you know, to feel joy and feel purpose and feel content and love and just make the most of it. Right? So, what I've found, because this has been my own journey. When I went through my divorce, I felt like my whole life fell apart. And what really had happened is I had fallen out of living in alignment with who I really am and actually, you know, I think so many of us, we don't really remember when we were actually living in alignment with our truth. You know, what's in our heart and what's in our soul. And that causes a lot of just energetic dissonance and it doesn't feel good. And that's what causes the stuck feeling. And the problem with that is that like, it feels very overwhelming to know where to even start, because most of us don't really speak in terms of like what I'm talking about. Like just energetic dissonance and finding our truth. And you know, that stuff is very kind of, it can feel like very esoteric language, like how do we even begin to get back in alignment with our truth? But really what it is, there are a lot of barriers that we experienced to living a full and happy, joyful, you know, kick ass I love, I love my life kind of, you know, situation. And those barriers are things that we've brought with us over time. Most of the time, a lot of the time from when we were kids, we've just brought that stuff along with us. And so there are all these false truths, these little lies that we've come to believe. And sometimes we even sense that they're not true, but we, you know, our ego tricks us into believing them anyway. And an example might be, I like if you're really loud and, you know, loud and outgoing, and maybe you've been told you're too much. And so you try to live your life trying to not be too much. But you're really suppressing, like who you truly are. And instead of finding your people, you change, what's inside to fit in with the people who think you're too much. So you're not too much for them. When in reality, you probably have a group of people who love your too much. And so for you to live in alignment with who you truly are and be happy it's to be able to be in the full expression of who you are in your too much. Which really isn't too much in the right group of people. Right? So that's just an example of how. We fall out of our truth. And in this retreat that I'm holding, we're going to talk so much about all of these things that keep us from living the life we really want. And also believing that we can have whatever life we want to create. We are divine beings living a human experience, and we are also capable of creating... We're the creator of our experience. We are capable of creating whatever it is we want, and we just have to remove some of those barriers that are keeping us from believing that. And that's kind of the first step and that's what you're going to leave this retreat with. Is this open, expansive view of a new possibility? I've experienced this myself. I've told stories about it on this podcast where I've had some kind of experience where it's just opened, it's expanded my view. It's kind of like, you know, if your glasses are dirty, And you can't see perfectly. And then, well, here's a great example is I have decent vision, but you know, I'm guessing getting older it deteriorates. And, I'm have astigmatism, so I typically wear, my prescriptions very tricky, you know, it's like, I would really need progressives, but like so many of us in our forties do. But, um, that is hard because I'm also at a computer a lot. So I just have two different prescriptions. I have a prescription for close-up. And then I have for far away. But I've never used the far away before, because I can, like, I can drive and I can still see far away pretty well. And then... I accidentally filled the prescription long story. Um, accidentally filled the prescription for the, the distance vision classes at Warby Parker. And I got them and I'm like, I put them on and I'm like, these aren't the closeup glasses. And it was amazing, because I could see like so sharp, like I'm like, wow, this is crazy. Like, I didn't. I didn't know that like people could actually see this sharp. It's been so long since, you know, I've been able to do that. And I've always had really good vision, but. You know, and I have great vision for someone in there in her late forties, but, um, that's an example. It's like I put on these glasses and all of a sudden I can see like, so much clearer. And that's what happens. That's what's going to happen at this retreat is you're going to leave it, you're going to go through it and feel like you can see things so much clearer. And how would that feel to be able to just expand your view, take off some of the blinders, even if it's just a little bit, to be able to just see something that was previously hidden from your view. I've been to many retreats. I have never not had some kind of major transformation. Never. They're amazing. They're exhausting and the best way. They're a you know, place to go deep, get messy, be with other people who are doing the same things. So it's such a safe container to play and experiment. And like I said, just be messy. So it's, it's a, it's a wonderful experience. And if you haven't had the joy of being on retreat, I highly recommend considering it, or doing it. And if this is resonant for you, if you're kind of leaning in thinking, Hmm, that sounds kinda like it would be great for me. I really highly recommend you just reach out to me to learn more. There's no obligation. I only have eight spots. It's filling up, so I can't take everyone, but I would love to have you, if it's a good fit for you. So if, if this is feeling like, Hmm, I want to know more. You do want to know more and it's your intuition, your heart telling you to reach out. Either email me or go to my website, kortneyrivard.com/lets-talk and, we can chat about it to see if it's a good fit for you. Yeah, so go do that. And today I am sharing with you Episode number 54 I believe it is, but it's called why you need to change your thinking to change your results. And this is a perfect example of opening your view. Because a lot of times here. Uh, an example of people will come to me with, we'll get on a discovery call to explore what's going on in their life and to see if, um, coaching with me would be a good fit. A lot of times when I feel like, oh, this is what I do is perfect for this person. Like absolutely perfect. And I know that you know, they're in a place where they can get amazing results. They'll say, well, I don't have the money or I don't have the time. And for somebody like me, it's really easy to be like, what? Because I'm in this work, I do it all the time and I've removed some of those blocks. I once had them to. But, you know, we, the, the goal of these calls is never for me to convince someone to coach with me. It's just to show people their thinking. And, you know, if they see their thinking and still decide, yeah, it's not for me, then absolutely. A hundred percent. That's great. But my job in these calls is to show you your thinking, and then you get to decide, do I want to keep that thinking or do I want to change it? But, the thing is. Albert Einstein had said once that. This is, I'm butchering this quote, but I'm sure, basically if you want different results, like you can't create a different result if you keep the same thinking that created that result. So in the instance of, I don't have enough money or I don't have enough time, those are usually like default responses. They're just ingrained, you know, thinking. And when we clean off our glasses and start to think, huh? There might be a different way of thinking about this. Do I really want to believe that? You are, then you're opening yourself up to getting a different result. And like in the case of money, sometimes it just isn't the right time. But if you actually look at your thinking and question it and then decide it's not the right time, that's a lot different than just defaulting to, I don't have enough money or I don't have enough time without having really considered can I find the money? Is it possible that I could find the money? Or is it possible? I could find the, find the time. So this episode is all about that. It's all about like, you can't get different results if you just keep thinking the same thoughts, the same belief systems that you've had your whole life. Um, and hopefully this will give you some, you know, open up something in your mind that might might just get you to question something that really holds you back. And I promise you that changing your thinking, even in the littlest shifts will absolutely change your life. It's changed mine. It's changed a ton of other people that I know. It's changed the people that I coach. Um, so listen to this episode and I hope it opens up something in you. All right friends sit back relax and enjoy the show
